We went to the doctor on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010. When Dr. Anderson first fired up the sonogram machine, this is what we saw (the top picture). This image was taken on super magnification, which is why the baby fills the entire sonogram screen. You can see the baby's head on the far left, the body along the bottom (with the arms on top toward the left side), and the butt to the right side of the screen. The baby wasn't in the "right" position at first, so Dr. Anderson had to move the wand around my stomach quite a bit to get the baby to move. Then all of a sudden, the baby moved and we were looking at the image below.
To help you understand the angle you're looking at, imagine setting a baby's bare butt on top of a copy machine. Now imagine that you're inside the copy machine looking up at the baby's butt. Now can you figure out what it is?

It quickly became apparent that the baby is a BOY! You can see the back of one thigh at the top of the screen, the back of the other thigh at the bottom of the screen, the butt along the right side of the screen, and his boy parts in the middle.
Dr. Anderson took lots of measurements and said everything appears to be developing as it should. Just 5 1/2 more months until we can meet him...We can't wait! Now all the fun begins, as we pick out the name and start working on the nursery. The Lord has truly blessed us with this little miracle!
